1 cup flour, spooned and leveled
3/4 cup cornmeal
1/2 tsp kosher salt
1/2 tsp baking soda
2 tsp baking powder
1/2 cup butter (1 stick)
1/4 cup vegetable oil
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/3 cup honey
2 large eggs
1 1/4 cups buttermilk
For savoury cornbread:
1.5 cups shredded white cheddar
2 small cans picked jalapeno
Istruzioni
Preheat oven to 375.
1. Combine dry ingredients.
2. Melt butter, add oil, sugar, and honey. Whisk to combine.
3. Add eggs and buttermilk to butter mixture.
4. Add cheese and peppers if using.
5. Fold in dry ingredients.
6. Bake for 30-40 mins until golden brown and firm in the middle.
