Four Corners Refried Beans

1 lb Bacon
3 cups Pinto beans uncooked
7 cups Water
1 1/2 cups Onion chopped
4 cloves Garlic
1 Tbsp Salt
1-2 cups Green Chiles canned or fresh
步骤
Fry bacon in heavy pan until crisp. Crumble and drain, reserrving half of the bacon grease. Place bacon, remainder of ingredients, and reserved bacon grease into the crockpot and cover.
Cook beans on high for 1 hour, then reduce heat to low and cook overnight (10 hours.) Cool slightly and then mash pinto beans, in batches. Add more salt to taste, if needed.
备注
These can be frozen. In day of serving, thaw and and to pot to heat. For creamy consistency add a smidge of water.
