Chilli Garlic Potato Balls

2 medium potatoes, boiled and mashed

2 tbsp butter

2 tbsp flour

2 garlic cloves, minced

1 fresh chili, chopped (optional)

A splash of milk (to bring the paste together)

Seasoning:

1 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp chili flakes

1 tsp gochugaru (optional, for color)

Salt & pepper to taste

1 tbsp chopped cilantro or parsley

Mozzarella

1 egg, beaten

½ cup breadcrumbs

Oil for frying

Make the Garlic Butter Paste:

Melt butter in a pan and sauté minced garlic and fresh chili. Stir in flour and cook for a minute until it forms a paste. Add a small splash of milk and mix until smooth.

Add the garlic butter paste to the mashed potatoes. Mix in garlic powder, chili flakes, gochugaru, salt, pepper, and chopped cilantro/parsley. Let the mixture cool slightly.

Take a small portion of the mashed potatoes and flatten it. Place a cube of cheese in the center and shape it into a ball, sealing the cheese inside.

Dip each ball in beaten egg, then roll in breadcrumbs.

Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Fry the balls until golden brown and crispy.

Drain on paper towels and serve hot!
