Crispy Beef Tacos Recipe

For the Beef Filling:

Ground beef – 250 g (½ lb)

Oil – 1 tbsp

Onion – ½ small, finely chopped

Tomato – 1 small, chopped

Salt – ½ tsp

Black pepper – ½ tsp

Garlic powder – ½ tsp

Chilli powder – ½ tsp

Taco seasoning – 1 tsp (or more to taste)

Beef broth or water – 2 tbsp

For the Tacos:

Tortilla wraps – 3 to 4

Mozzarella cheese – ½ cup, shredded

Oil or butter – 1 tbsp (for pan frying)

For the Cilantro Sauce:

Mayonnaise – 3 tbsp

Sour cream – 2 tbsp

Fresh cilantro – 2 tbsp (finely chopped)

Lime juice – 1 tsp

Garlic powder – ¼ tsp

Salt – a pinch

Prepare the Beef Filling:

Heat 1 tbsp oil in a pan.

Add chopped onion and sauté until soft.

Add ground beef and cook until it starts browning.

Add tomato, salt, pepper, garlic powder, chilli powder, and taco seasoning.

Pour in a little beef broth or water to keep it moist.

Stir and cook for 5–7 minutes until the beef is tender and flavorful.

Let it cool slightly before assembling.

Make the Cilantro Sauce:

In a bowl, combine mayonnaise, sour cream, cilantro, lime juice, garlic powder, and salt.

Mix well and keep refrigerated until serving.

Assemble the Tacos:

Place a tortilla on a flat surface.

Add a layer of beef filling and top with mozzarella cheese.

Fold the tortilla in half and press gently.

Pan Fry the Tacos:

Heat oil or butter in a pan.

Fry the folded tacos on both sides until golden brown and crispy.

Remove and let rest for 1 minute to firm up the crust.

Serve:

Serve hot tacos with creamy cilantro sauce on the side or drizzle it on top.
