Chicken Alfredo Tortellini with Mozzarella - Baked

20 oz refrigerated cheese tortellini
2 cups cooked chicken breast, sliced
2 tbsp butter
4 garlic cloves, minced
2 cups heavy cream
½ cup chicken broth
1 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
2 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
1 tsp salt
1 tsp black pepper
1 tsp Italian seasoning

Preheat your oven to 375°F. Lightly grease a medium baking dish with butter or cooking spray and set it aside.
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the cheese tortellini and cook according to the package directions until just tender. Drain well and set aside.
In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and cook for about 30 seconds until fragrant, stirring so it does not burn.
Pour in the heavy cream and chicken broth. Stir well and let the mixture come to a gentle simmer. Cook for a few minutes until it begins to thicken slightly.
Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese, salt, black pepper, and Italian seasoning. Continue stirring until the cheese melts and the sauce becomes smooth and creamy.
Add the cooked tortellini and sliced chicken to the sauce. Gently mix until everything is well coated with the Alfredo sauce.
Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking dish and spread it evenly.
Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella evenly over the top.
Place the dish in the oven and bake for about 20 to 25 minutes, or until the cheese is melted, bubbly, and lightly golden on top.
Remove from the oven and let it rest for about 5 minutes before serving so the sauce can settle.
