Fried Onigiri

Rich Butter Soy Grilled Onigiri
Cooked rice (leftover) … 250g
Soy sauce … 1 tbsp
Salted butter … 10g (+ 5g for cooking)
Potato starch … 1.5 tsp
White sesame seeds … 1 tsp
Chopped green onions … a little

① Mix & Shape
Add soy sauce, 10g butter, potato starch, and sesame seeds to the rice.
Mix well until evenly combined.
Shape into slightly flat onigiri using plastic wrap.
② Cook
Heat 5g butter in a pan and place the onigiri.
Cook over medium to low heat until both sides are golden brown.
Do not move too much—let them form a crust.
③ Finish
Lightly brush with soy sauce and cook until fragrant.
Tips
Flatten slightly = easier to cook evenly
Don’t touch too much = crispy outside
Crispy on the outside, chewy on the inside.
The rich butter and soy sauce flavor makes it irresistible 🤤
