12 oz penne pasta
1 lb ground beef
3 tablespoons unsalted butter
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup heavy cream
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
1/2 teaspoon salt (to taste)
1/4 teaspoon black pepper (to taste)
Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Cook the pasta: Cook the penne pasta according to package instructions in a large pot of salted water. Drain and set aside.
Brown the ground beef: In a large skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of butter over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef and cook, breaking it apart with a spatula, until fully browned and no longer pink. Drain any excess fat and set the beef aside.
Make the garlic butter sauce: In the same skillet, melt the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.
Add the cream and cheese: Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Stir in the Parmesan and mozzarella cheese, allowing them to melt and create a creamy sauce. Add Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper, adjusting the seasoning to taste.
Combine everything: Add the cooked ground beef and penne pasta into the skillet, stirring to combine everything and coat the pasta in the creamy garlic cheese sauce. Cook for 2-3 minutes to heat through.
Serve: Garnish with freshly chopped parsley and serve immediately.
