Honey Garlic Chicken

3 lbs boneless, skinless chicken thighs, cut into bite-size pieces
½ tbsp garlic salt
1 tbsp black pepper
¼ cup cornstarch (plus a little extra if you want more crunch)
2–3 tbsp vegetable oil (for frying)
Sauce:
½ cup honey
¼ cup soy sauce
1 tbsp ginger paste
2–3 tbsp minced garlic
To Finish:
Sesame seeds
Green onions, sliced

Season the chicken
In a large bowl, add chicken, garlic salt, black pepper, and cornstarch. Toss until everything is well coated. (Add a little extra cornstarch if you want it extra crispy.)
Cook the chicken
Heat oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add chicken in batches and cook until browned on both sides with a light crust. Don’t overcrowd the pan. Remove and set aside.
Make the sauce
Add all the cooked chicken back to the skillet. Pour in honey, soy sauce, ginger paste, and minced garlic. Toss to coat.
Simmer
Let it simmer for a few minutes until the sauce thickens and gets sticky, coating all the chicken.
Finish & serve
Top with sesame seeds and green onions. Serve over white rice with your favorite veggie.
