This Crock Pot French Onion Beef Roast Is Slow Cooked Until

3 lb beef chuck roast

3 large yellow onions, thinly sliced

2 tbsp butter

1 tbsp olive oil

1 ½ cups beef broth

1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

1 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp dried thyme

½ tsp salt

½ tsp black pepper

1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella or Swiss cheese

Fresh parsley, finely chopped (for garnish)

步驟

In a skillet, melt butter with olive oil over medium heat.

Add sliced onions and cook slowly for 15–20 minutes until deeply caramelized and golden.

Season the beef roast with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and thyme.

Place the roast into the slow cooker.

Top with the caramelized onions.

Pour beef broth and Worcestershire sauce around the roast.

Cover and cook on LOW for 8 hours until fork-tender.

Sprinkle shredded cheese over the top during the last 20–30 minutes of cooking.

Cover and allow the cheese to melt until bubbly and slightly golden.

Garnish with fresh chopped parsley before serving.
