• Sweet Onions

• Your choice of rice

• Green and Red Bell Peppers

• Your favorite cut of steak, cubed or finely sliced

(GO FOR JASMINE!)

The Marinade:

• 2 tsp minced garlic

• 2 tsp shao xing wine (dry sherry or dry white wine is fine)

• 1 tbsp oyster sauce

• 1 tosp soy sauce

• 1 tbsp dark soy sauce

• 4 tbsp brown sugar

• 1 tsp kosher salt

• 1/2 tsp black pepper

• 1/2 tsp baking soda

• 1 tsp oil

The Sauce:

• 3/4 cups cold water

• 2 tbsp soy sauce

• 1 tsp oyster sauce

• 1 tsp dark soy sauce

• 1 tsp sesame oil

• 4 tbsp brown sugar

• 1 tsp kosher salt

• 1/2 tsp black pepper

• A slight cornstarch slurry to thicken

THE RECIPE

* Clean and finely slice or cube steak, allowing it to marinate for at least 15 minutes.

1. Chop up bell peppers and onions into small/medium- sized pieces.

2. To a hot pan, add oil and the bell peppers. Once the bell peppers are halfway cooked through, add the chopped onions to the pan. Remove when sautéed to perfection. V

3. In the same pan or a cast-iron skillet, heat oil before adding your steak. Let the steak sit to form a delicious crust before flipping and continuing to cook.

4. Once the steak is fully cooked, add bell peppers and onions to the pan with the steak and give it a good stir

- once well combined, add the sauce to the pan and bring to a boil, followed by a cornstarch slurry to thicken the sauce

5. Once sauce begins to boil, give meat one final stir before cutting off the heat and serving over jasmine rice.
