These Cottage Cheese Bagels Are Soo Good

These are my husbands and my favorite bagels! I usually make them as mini bagels but adjusted the recipe and made regular size bagels this time.

Ingredients (for 4 bagels):

1 ½ cup (335g) cottage cheese, strained

1 ½ cup (190g) all-purpose flour

3 tsp baking powder

optional: egg yolk for brushing the bagels

everything bagel seasoning

seeds or cheese and jalapeños

Strain the cottage cheese by spooning it into a fine-mesh sieve and let it drain to remove the liquid.

Add flour, baking powder into a large bowl. Stir in the cottage cheese and mix everything well together. Knead the dough into a ball by using your hands. Divide into four equal portions and form them into rings.

Grease a parchment paper lined baking tray and place the bagels on the baking tray.

Brush the bagels with egg yolk and sprinkle with toppings of your choice. I used everything bagel seasoning.

Bake at 400 F/ 200 C for 20-25 minutes in the oven.

Let them cool and enjoy!

These are a great breakfast option. Especially, if you have a hard time hitting your protein intake.
