1 pound spaghetti, cooked and drained

1/2 cup milk

2 teaspoons salt

1 teaspoon pepper

1 1//4 pounds american cheese, cut into 1/4 inch-thick slices

Preheat the oven to 350°F.

Pour the spaghetti into a 4-quart ovenproof dish. Pour the milk over it and season with the salt and pepper.

Lay the cheese slices over the spaghetti, covering it entirely and overlapping the slices.

Bake for 20 minutes, or until the hceese is melted.

Turn on the broiler. Leave the dish under the broiler until the cheese bubbles and browns. Serve hot.
