30-minute Burger Buns

1 cup warm water

¼ cup pure cane sugar

3 1/4 teaspoons dry active yeast

⅓ cup avocado oil

1 egg (room temperature)

1 teaspoon salt

3 cups all-purpose flour + 1/2 cup more if needed.

Hướng dẫn

Warm your water to 105°,add your sugar and mix.

Add yeast and allow it to bloom for 5-8 minutes.

While the yeast blooms add 3 cups of flour and 1 tsp salt to a large mixing bowl.

Add yeast mixture to the bowl and mix into a shaggy dough.

Once shaggy add your oil and beaten egg.

You can either hand kneed or let the mixer do the work.

Weight whole dough ball on a scale, mine was 958g. I divided mine into 8 doughs (119g roughly).

Once rolled set them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and cover for 20 mins.

Heat oven to 400° and brush the tops of your buns with 1 egg and a teaspoon of water mixed.

Bake on the middle rack for 12 minutes. (I use a light colored pan and I place another pan at the bottom of the oven so the bun bottoms don’t get hard.
