Squire Sweet Italian Pasta

1 lb. Italian sausage

1 tsp. crushed garlic

1 large can diced tomatoes

1 pt. cream

3 Tbsp. dried basil (if fresh is not available)

Salt and Pepper to taste

8 oz. grated Gouda cheese

16 oz. Penne pasta

Grated romano cheese

Brown sausage with garlic, leaving sausage in larger pieces.  Drain fat.  Add diced tomatoes, cream, basil, and salt and pepper.  Simmer for 10 minutes.  Add grated Gouda cheese.  Stir until well blended.  Simmer 15 minutes.  Cook pasta and drain.  Spoon sausage mixture over pasta; sprinkle with Romano cheese.  Garnish with fresh basil if you like.
