Sliced vegetables (carrots, celery, bell peppers)

Pretzels, bread cubes, or crackers

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Lightly grease a muffin tin with olive oil or non-stick spray.Place the frozen tater tots in a large bowl and season with salt and pepper.Arrange the tater tots in the muffin tin, standing them up to form a bowl shape. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the tater tots are crispy and golden. Once done, press down gently in the center of each tater tot bowl to create a well for the fondue.

While the tater tots are baking, prepare the cheese sauce. In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Stir in the flour to create a roux, cooking for 1-2 minutes until the mixture thickens slightly.Slowly add the heavy cream (or milk), whisking constantly to avoid lumps. Continue to cook until the sauce thickens and begins to simmer.Reduce the heat to low and gradually add the shredded cheddar cheese, stirring constantly until melted and smooth. Season with garlic powder, mustard powder (if using), salt, and pepper.

Once the tater tot bowls are baked and golden, carefully remove them from the muffin tin. Place each bowl on a serving platter or individual plates.Spoon the warm cheese fondue into each tater tot bowl, filling them generously.
