загальний часІнгредієнти
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1 clove garlic, minced (you can sub out for garlic powder if you don't have it)
- Freshly grated cheese of some Parmesan variety (I recommend either pecorino romano or parmigiano reggiano but whatever you have access to that you like will work), anywhere from half a cup to 2 cups depending on your taste preferences. Freshly grated is important because it melts in the sauce way easier than the pre-grated stuff.
- Parsley, dried or fresh, to taste (optional)
Напрямки
1. Melt the butter in a small saucepan over medium heat.
2. Add heavy cream to saucepan, whisking until combined. Let the mixture simmer for about 5 minutes in the saucepan.
3. Add garlic and the parm cheese to the mixture, then whisk until smooth. Add the cheese in batches and taste-test as you whisk. (Add your parsley here if you're using it.)
4. Serve with cooked pasta, garnish with freshly cracked pepper.
Нотатки
- You can set this sauce off to the side on Low heat to let it thicken up while you cook pasta or other sides. Just give it a stir every now and then.
- You can add bacon bits after step 3 to make bacon alfredo sauce. I recommend saving some as a topping for plating purposes if you're going to do that.
- Use a garlic press (like Oxo's GoodGrips garlic press) instead of buying the minced stuff in a jar. Just pop one clove into the press, kersmash, put garlic into saucepot, profit.
