Judy's Pumpkin Bread

4 eggs

3 cups sugar

1 cup Crisco shortening (white)

3 1/2 cups flour

2/3 cup water

2 tsp baking soda

1 1/2 tsp salt

1 tsp nutmeg (scant)

1 tsp cinnamon

1 can (15 oz) pumpkin puree (Judy recommends Aldi brand as it is less watery)

Preheat oven to 325

Cream shortening with sugar

Add eggs one at a time

Add pumpkin, then cream together

Separately, blend flour with baking soda, salt, nutmeg, and cinnamon

Add 1/2 of flour mixture to wet ingredients.

Add 1/3 cup of water, then add rest of dry ingredients.

Add 1/3 cup of water one more time.

Add mixture to 2 greased 9"x5" pans with parchment paper on bottom.

Bake one hour. Makes two loaves.
