Cinnamon Twists

1 (8-ounce) sour cream

3 Tbsp sugar

2 Tbsp shortening

1 pkg dry yeast

1 tsp salt

1/8 tsp baking soda

3 cups flour

1 egg

2 Tbsp oleo

1/3 cup brown sugar

1 tsp. cinnamon

Place sour cream in a small saucepan; cook over low heat until warm (105-115°). Remove from heat.

Add next 5 ingredients, stirring until shortening melts.

Combine yeast mixture, 2 cups flour and egg in large mixing bowl, beat at medium speed of electric mixer until smooth. Stir in remaining 1 cup of flour.

Knead dough until smooth, roll into 24x8 rectangle, brush with softened butter. Combine brown sugar and cinnamon, sprinkle over dough.

Cut into strips.

Cover and let rise 1 hour.

Bake 375° for 15 minutes.

Drizzle with glaze.

Glaze: 1 cup powdered sugar, 1-2 Tbsp milk
