Ingredients (Patties):
2 cups canned black beans, drained (liquid reserved)
1 medium onion, quartered
½ cup quick-cooking rolled oats
1 Tbsp lime juice
2 tsp chili powder
Sea salt + black pepper, to taste
Toppings:
Whole-grain buns
Lettuce, tomato, red onion
Condiments of choice
How it comes together:
Pulse beans, onion, oats, lime juice, and chili powder in a food processor until chunky (not smooth), adding a splash of bean liquid if needed. Season, shape into patties, and chill briefly. Cook in a hot skillet until golden and crisp, flipping once. Stack on toasted buns and enjoy.
