Rice Krispie Cheddar Crackers

2 cups sharp cheddar cheese shredded

2 cups all-purpose flour

2 cups Rice Krispie cereal

1 cup butter

2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce

1 teaspoon cayenne pepper

1 teaspoon salt

¼ teaspoon garlic powder

Yöntemler

Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).

In a bowl, cream together the butter and shredded cheddar cheese until smooth.

Add the flour, Worcestershire sauce, cayenne pepper, salt, and garlic powder. Mix to form a dough.

Gently knead the dough and fold in the Rice Krispie cereal.

Pinch off teaspoon-sized pieces and roll into balls. Place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet.

Flatten each ball with a fork. Sprinkle extra cayenne on top if desired.

Bake for 13–15 minutes, or until golden and crisp.

Cool on a rack and store in an airtight container.

Notes

For milder crackers, reduce or omit the cayenne pepper.

Use extra-sharp cheddar for a bolder cheese flavor.

These crackers can be made ahead and stored for up to a week.
