Mom’s Recipes
White Chocolate Cake*

1/4 pound white chocolate
1/2 cup boiling water
2 cups sugar
1 cup butter
4 eggs separated
1 cup buttermilk
2-1/2 cups cake flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup coconut
1 cup finely chopped nuts
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
วิธีทำ
Melt chocolate in water; set aside to cool
Cream butter and 1-1/2 cup sugar til fluffy
Add egg yolks and beat well
Sift flour, baking powder and salt
Add vanilla to buttermilk
Add flour, buttermilk, and chocolate to creamed mixture
Beat smooth after each addition
Beat egg white until soft
Add remaining sugar and beat until stiff
Fold into batter
Fold in nuts and coconut
Place in 3-9" greased pans
Bake at 350 for 35 minutes
Ice with White Chocolate Cake Frosting
