Devil's Food Cake*

2 cups sifted cake flour

1 teaspoon baking soda

3/4 teaspoon salt

1/2 cup vegetable shortening

1-1/3 cups sugar

2 eggs

(3) 1 ounce squares melted chocolate

1-1/4 cups less 2T milk

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

วิธีทำ

Sift together first 3 ingredients, 3 times

Cream shortening with sugar

Add eggs and beat til very light and fluffy

Mix in chocolate At low speed, beat in flour mixture and milk alternately

Start and end with flour

Pour into 2 9" pans

Bake at 350 for 25-30 minutes

If using butter or oleo, use 1 cup of milk, mix and pour over hot cake

Or, top cake with melted chocolate and mini marshmallows
