🥙🔥 Chicken Shawarma Platter

Juicy yogurt-marinated chicken shawarma, turmeric rice, fresh herb salad, and Greek Yogurt Tzatziki Sauce. Big flavor, easy prep😮💨
🛒 Ingredients
Chicken Shawarma🌯
3 chicken breasts, thinly sliced
2 tbsp olive oil
3 heaping tbsp Greek yogurt
1 lemon (juice + full zest)
1 tbsp tomato paste
1 head roasted garlic
2 tbsp cumin
2 tbsp paprika
1 tbsp turmeric
1 tsp salt
1tsp onion & garlic powder
½ tsp black pepper
Pinch cayenne
Handful fresh parsley, chopped
Turmeric Rice🍚
2 cups jasmine or basmati rice (rinsed)
2 cups water
2 tbsp turmeric
Pinch salt
Drizzle olive oil
Fresh Herb Salad🥗
Hand full Cherry tomatoes
1 Cucumber
1/2 Red onion
Handful Fresh parsley
1 tbsp Fresh dill
1/2 squeezed lemon
Drizzle of Olive oil
Pinch of salt & pepper
Greek Yogurt Tzatziki Sauce🫙
3 tbsp Greek yogurt
1/2 Shredded cucumber (squeezed dry)
2 tbsp Mayonnaise
2 tbsp Olive oil
1/2 squeezed lemon
2 tbsp Dried dill
Pinch Salt & pepper
How I Made It👨🍳
1️⃣ Turmeric Rice (start this first)
Rinse rice until water runs clear. Add rice, water, turmeric, salt, and olive oil. Bring to a boil, cover, and simmer 20–25 minutes. Fluff and set aside.
2️⃣ Chicken Shawarma
Preheat oven to 425°F.
Mix chicken with olive oil, Greek yogurt, lemon juice + zest, tomato paste, roasted garlic, spices, salt, and pepper. Roast 30 minutes, stirring once halfway.
3️⃣ Fresh Herb Salad
Chop everything, toss with lemon juice, olive oil, salt & pepper.
4️⃣ Greek Yogurt Tzatziki Sauce
Mix all ingredients until smooth. Chill if you have time.
🍽 How I Plated It
Rice first → fresh herb salad → chicken shawarma → Greek Yogurt Tzatziki Sauce
Optional: add a fresh pickle on the side.
