CHRISTMAS BARK CANDY

1 pkg. (10-12 oz.) vanilla or milk chocolate chips

2 tsp. vegetable oil

1-1/4 to 1-1/2 c. mini M&M's or broken pretzel bits

In a microwave-safe bowl, heat chips and oil at 70% power for 1 minute; stir. Microwave 10-20 seconds longer or until chips are melted, stirring occasionally. Cool for 5 minutes.

Stir in baking bits or pretzels. Spread onto a waxed paper-lined baking sheet. Chill for 10 minutes.

Remove from the refrigerator; break into pieces. Store in an airtight container at room temperature.
