1 cup grated Parmigiano Reggiano cheese

Instruktioner

Mound the parmesan. Preheat the oven to 400F. Place a heaping tablespoon of grated parmesan on a silicone-lined or parchment-lined baking sheet. After you've placed a mound of cheese, lightly pat it down.

Bake until crispy. Baked for 3 to 5 minutes, until golden and crispy. Let them cool on the baking tray, then carefully remove.

  • Turned out well, no need for pricy store-bought version

  • Nice addition to salmon Caesar salad wraps

  • Baked for closer to 4 minutes 30 seconds

  • Lose their crunch when sealed overnight, as expected, but still good

  • Recipe says they can be stored in an airtight container for 2 - 3 weeks

  • Try them topped with different spices (everything bagel seasoning, za’atar, Italian blend, etc)

  • Use the handheld cheese grater instead of the microplane (it shreds the cheese too finely to melt evenly)
