Instrucțiuni

1. Prepare the meatballs: Preheat your oven to 400*F (200°C), In a large bowl, combine the ground meat, breadcrumbs. egg, garlic, and optional onion and Worcestershire sauce. Season with salt and pepper.

2. Form and bake: Roll the mixture into 1-inch meatballs and place them on a foil-lined, greased baking sheet. Bake for 18 to 20 minutes, or until cooked through and no longer pink in the center.

3. Make the sauce: While the meatballs are baking, combine the cherry jam, ketchup, and soy sauce (or Worcestershire) in a saucepen over medium-low heat. Add the brown sugar and red pepper flakes, if using.

4. Simmer and thicken: Bring the mixture to a low simmer, stirring occasionally until the jam melts and the sauce is well-combined and slightly thickened, about 5-6 minutes.

5. Coat the meatballs: Transfer the baked meatballs to a large bowl. Pour the warm cherry jam sauce over the meatballs and toss until evenly coated.

6. Serve: Serve the meatballs warm, optionally garnished with chopped green onions or parsley.

Note

Using frozen meatballs For a quicker preparation, use a bag of frozen. pre-cooked meatballs. Simply bake the frozen meatballs according to package directions. While they are in the oven, prepare the cherry jam sauce on the stovetop. Once the meatballs are heated through, toss them with the warm sauce.
