Best Homemade Low Sugar Granola (Healthy and Easy)

Wet Ingredients
1 cup soft dates, pits removed
1/2 cup tahini
1/4 cup water
2 tbsp maple syrup (optional)
Dry Ingredients
3 cups old-fashioned rolled oats
1 cup of raw nuts (I use a mix of two of these: almonds, cashews, walnuts or pecans)
1/2 cup dried cranberries or raisins
1/4 cup raw sunflower seeds
1/4 cup raw pumpkin seeds
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp salt (optional)
Instrucțiuni
Preheat the oven to 300°F.
To a food processor, add the wet ingredients (dates, tahini, water, and maple syrup). Blend until a smooth paste forms.
Add all the dry ingredients to a large mixing bowl and then mix in the date mixture. I usually use my hands to coat everything evenly.
Spread out the mixture on to a parchment or silicone lined baking sheet.
Bake for 25-30 minutes. Take it out after about 15 minutes to give it a mix on the pan to make sure it cooks evenly. Granola is done when it is slightly golden.
Let the granola cool completely on the baking sheet. Once cooled, place in an airtight container. You can store this in your pantry or on your counter for a couple of weeks.
Serve with milk or yogurt with some fresh berries.
Note
To make this a gluten-free granola make sure to use gluten-free certified rolled oats.
