Chocolate Chip Kale Cookies

1¼ cups white whole wheat or pastry flour
½ cup old-fashioned oats
2 teaspoons baking powder
¼ teaspoon salt
¼ cup packed torn kale leaves
1 cup firmly packed light brown sugar
½ cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, softened
I tablespoon molasses
2 large eggs
1 tablespoon vanilla extract (or substitute ¼ teaspoon mint extract)
1 cup 70% cocoa semisweet chocolate chips (or 70% cocoa dark chocolate chunks)
