Chicken Pita Pockets

1 1/2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken
2 tablespoons olive oil
2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
1 teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon dried thyme
3/4 teaspoon salt
4 cups thinly sliced green cabbage
2 carrots, peeled and coarsely shredded
1/2 cup mayonnaise
6 pitas
Instrucțiuni
1. Cut chicken into 1 inch wide strips.
2. In a bowl combine oil, garlic, paprika,thyme and 1/2 teaspoon salt. Stir in chicken and marinate 15 minutes.
3. Heat broiler. Broil chicken 3 inches from heat for 3 minutes. Turn chicken and cook 2 minutes more or until done. Cool.
4. In bowl combine cabbage, carrots and mayonnaise with remaining salt. Refrigerate until serving.
5. Assemble sandwiches.
