Ingredients

1 cup raisins - cooked

1 cup sugar

1/2 cup shortening

1 egg

1 cup liquid from raisins

2 cups flour

1 tsp. soda

1 tsp. cloves

1 tsp. cinnamon

Directions

Cook raisins in 2 cups water for 10 minutes. Cool. Mix sugar, shortening, slightly beaten egg, water and dry ingredients. Add raisins. Bake in a 9 x 15 pan at 350 for 20 minutes.
