The Fluffiest Halva Pancakes!!

Ingredients

Halvah Pancakes

2 cups buttermilk

1 tablespoon granulated sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/2 teaspoon kosher salt

1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

2 large eggs

2 cups all-purpose flour

1 tablespoon baking powder

1 tablespoon baking soda

1 cup crumbled halva

Unsalted butter, for cooking

Maple syrup, for serving

Directions

In a large bowl, whisk together the buttermilk, sugar, vanilla, salt, cinnamon, and eggs until smooth. Add the flour, baking soda, and baking powder and whisk until just incorporated, the fold in the halva.

Melt a little butter in two medium skillets over medium heat. Add 1/2 cup batter to each and cook, flipping once, until golden brown and puffed, about 2 minutes per side. Transfer to a platter and repeat, adding more butter as needed, until all the pancakes are made.

Drizzle with chocolate-tahini sauce and/or maple syrup, the serve.
