Mom's Beef Stroganoff

2 lbs ground beef
1/2 yellow or white onion, diced
3 cans cream of mushroom soup
3/4 capful soy sauce (about 3/4 tsp)
1.5 tsp garlic powder
pepper to taste
egg noodles
sour cream
Directions
brown hamburger with onion. when browned, drain.
dump cream of mushroom, soy sauce, garlic powder, and pepper in the pot. stir it.
put the lid on and slow cook for at least an hour. the longer it cooks, the better. stir it occasionally.
cook egg noodles.
when ready to eat, mix egg noodles in the beef sauce and serve.
add sour cream in the bowl or in the pot - I generally prefer to add in the bowl.
Notes
add 1 capful worcestershire sauce while it's cooking in the cooker if it's missing something. is tasty.
