Slow Cooker Neiman Marcus Chicken

Ingredients

3 –4 boneless skinless chicken breasts

1 10.5 oz can cream of chicken soup

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1½ teaspoons hot sauce (or to taste)

1/2 cup sliced green onions (divided)

8 slices bacon (cooked and crumbled, divided)

1 cup sour cream

1 cup heavy whipping cream

2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

1 sleeve Ritz crackers (crushed)

1/2 cup melted butter

1/2 cup slivered or sliced almonds

Directions

Add chicken to the slow cooker.

In a small bowl, whisk together cream of chicken soup, garlic powder, onion powder, and hot sauce.

Spread the soup mixture over the chicken.

Sprinkle half of the green onions and half of the bacon on top.

Cover and cook on low for 6 hours or high for 4 hours, until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F.

Shred or chop the chicken directly in the slow cooker.

Stir in sour cream, heavy cream, and shredded cheddar cheese.

In a separate bowl, mix crushed Ritz crackers with melted butter.

Spread the cracker mixture over the chicken.

Top with remaining green onions and bacon.

Sprinkle almonds evenly over the top.

Cover and cook for an additional 20–30 minutes on low until the cheese melts and topping is warmed through.

Serve hot!
