Custard Sauce

Ingredients

4 eggs yolks beaten

Dash of salt

1/4 cup sugar

2 cups of milk scalded

Directions

Combine all ingredients and cook in a double boiler over hot water not boiling water. Stir constantly until mixture coats the metal spoon.

Remove from heat and cool in a pan of cold water, stirring for a minute or two. Add 1 teaspoon vanilla.
