Perfect Hamburgers

For Burgers

2 lb Beef

1 Egg

3/4 c bread crumbs

3 tbs evaporated milk (optional; sub a pinch of sugar and water or leave out)

2 tbs worcestershire sauce

1/8 tsp cayenne

2 tbsp minced garlic

To serve

1 white onion, sliced

1 head of iceberg lettuce, sliced

2 ripe tomatoes, sliced

Pickle chips to taste

Mayo, ketchup, mustard to taste

Sliced cheese, to taste

Sesame seed buns


Mix all ingredients with hands.

Using a 1/3 or 1/2 cup measure, scoop mix into a burger press and press. I like to line mine with wax paper sheets for easy removal (use a spatula).

Grill, countertop electric grill, grill pan, 5 mins each side.

Serve with melted cheese and choice of topics on a bun or greens!
