This Silky Sweet Date Almond Butter Caramel Is One of My Fav
Makes around 4-5 portion

9 Medjool dates, pitted
4 tbsp smooth almond butter
1 tsp vanilla extract
Pinch of sea salt
Directions
Soak the dates in hot water for 15-20 minutes and then drain, reserving around 4 tbsp of the water.
Place the dates, almond butter, vanilla, and salt into a blender or food processor.
Add 4 tbsp of the warm water to start, then blend until smooth.
Scrape down the sides, add more liquid as needed, and keep blending until it turns into a thick, creamy caramel-like dip.
Transfer to a jar or bowl, sprinkle with flaky salt if desired, and serve with sliced apples.
