Cajun Sausage Pasta




total time


  • 3/4 box Penne

  • 1 package Cajun andouille sausage

  • 1/2 Red onion

  • 4 cloves Garlic

  • 1 Tbsp Tomato paste

  • 3/4 cup Heavy cream

  • 1 tsp Chili flakes

  • 1 tsp Oregano

  • Salt

  • Pepper


  1. Dice the onion. Mince the garlic. Cut the sausage into coins.

  2. Boil penne in large pot. When you drain the penne keep a little bit of the pasta water. Set to the side.

  3. Air fry sausage for 8 minutes on 375 or until crispy. Set to the side.

  4. In the (now empty) large pot from the pasta sauté the onion and garlic over medium to medium high heat.

  5. Once onion and garlic is sautéed add in the tomato paste, chili flakes, oregano, and heavy cream. Mix well until bright orange.

  6. Add back into the pot your pasta, sausage, and pasta water. Stir.

  7. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

  8. Serve.


  • Can scale up sauce to your hearts content.

  • If you don’t have an air fryer you can cook the sausage on the stove top.
