When Your Man Asks for Maple Bourbon Steak, That’s What You

Ingredients

steak of your choosing (I used elk backstrap)

1/3 cup maple syrup

1/3 cup good balsamic vinegar

1/3 cup bourbon

2 tbsp olive oil

3 tsp Dijon mustard

2 cloves minced garlic

1/2 tsp chili flakes

3/4 tsp both salt & pepper

How to:

Directions

Place your steak in a large ziploc bag.

Grab a small bowl and whisk together the remaining ingredients. Pour this marinade over the meat, seal the bag and place in the fridge for 4-12 hours.

Remove the meat from the fridge and allow to come to room temp before cooking. Grill or sear your steaks how you like and enjoy!!

Pro tip: boil the remaining marinade for 5-10 minutes with a couple tbsp of butter and you have a delicious sauce for your steak!
