Juicy Balsamic Glazed Flank Steak with a Vibrant Caprese Cru

Ingredients

1 ½ lbs flank steak

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1/4 cup balsamic vinegar

2 tablespoons honey

1 clove garlic, minced

1 pint cherry tomatoes, halved

8 ounces fresh mozzarella balls, halved or quartered

1/4 cup fresh basil leaves, chopped

1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil

Pinch of salt and pepper

Directions

Pat the flank steak dry and season generously with salt and pepper.

Grill or pan-sear the steak for 4-5 minutes per side for medium-rare, adjusting for desired doneness. Let rest for 10 minutes before slicing against the grain.

While the steak rests, whisk together balsamic vinegar, honey, and minced garlic in a small saucepan. Simmer over medium heat until slightly thickened, about 3-5 minutes.

In a bowl, gently combine cherry tomatoes, mozzarella balls, chopped basil, extra virgin olive oil, and a pinch of salt and pepper.

Drizzle the balsamic glaze over the sliced flank steak and top with the Caprese mixture.
