Gratinated Gnocchi Casserole

400 g gnocchi
185 g roasted red peppers from a jar (drained)
125 ml cream
Fresh basil
1 handful grated mozzarella cheese
2 garlic cloves
1 onion
1 zucchini
Butter (for frying)
Salt and pepper, to taste
Directions
Preheat the oven to 200°C
Heat a bit of butter or margarine in a pan
Add the gnocchi (without pre-cooking) and fry for a few minutes until lightly browned
Add the chopped onion, garlic, and zucchini
Cook briefly and season with salt and pepper
In a food processor, purée the roasted red peppers with a few basil leaves
Add the cream and blend again until smooth
Transfer the gnocchi mixture to an oven dish
Pour over the creamy pepper sauce and stir everything together
Top with grated mozzarella cheese
Bake for about 12 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly
