Easy Pizza Sauce

Ingredients

1 1/2 tablespoon olive oil

4 oz onion

6 cloves garlic minced

Pinch fennel seed crushed

28 ounces can crushed tomatoes

6 ounces tomato paste

3 tablespoons dry white wine

1 teaspoon dried basil

1 teaspoon dried oregano

1 teaspoon sea salt + a pinch

1/4 teaspoon fresh ground pepper

Pinch crushed red pepper

Directions

In a medium saucepan, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the onion let cook a little while, then add garlic and sauté for 1 minute. Add the fennel seed crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, wine, pepper,basil, oregano, salt, and pinch crushed red pepper. Stir until combined and simmer over low heat for 20 minutes. You can simmer for up to 30 minutes, if you want. Blend with hand mixer.

Store the pizza sauce in a jar or airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 1 week or cool completely and freeze for up to 3 months.
