What’s the one viral recipe you saw once and can’t stop making?
I’m not huge on trying viral online recipes but this one? This is one I can eat often. My family loves this and we prefer to eat it family style, from the oven to the kitchen table
Yum yum sauce, eal sauce & spicy mayo whatever you prefer works
Let’s make it
3-4 cups cooked rice
4 cups raw shrimp
1 lb surimi
1 8oz block cream cheese (room temperature)
1 1/2 cups kewpie mayo
3/4 cup sriracha
1/4-1/2 cup low sodium soy sauce
1 tsp sugar
1 tbsp rice vinegar
Salt to taste
Directions
Preheat oven to 385°F
Cut your shrimp in half or in thirds depending on the size of your shrimp and set aside
For your surimi you can flake it or cut depending on your preference
Cook your rice according to instructions depending on the type of rice you prefer to use. Once cooked add to your baking dish and add in your salt, sugar and rice vinegar. Combine by fluffing together then flattening out in an even layer
In a large bowl add in your shrimp, surimi, kewpie mayo, cream cheese, soy sauce and sriracha and mix well until combined. (If you did not set out your cream cheese, heat for 30 seconds in the microwave)
Add your mix on top of your rice layer and flatten out. Bake for 40 minutes
When done baking top with furikake, kewpie mayo, sriracha and sliced avocado
Enjoy with your favorite seaweed and try not to make this more than once a week
