Butter Basted Garlic & Thyme Rib Eye With Red Wine Seasoning

Ingredients:
3 oz. grapeseed oil
1 rib-eye steaks, 1-inch thick
2 tablespoons Red Wine Red Wine Steak Seasoning, (recipe follows)
2 oz. raw butter, unsalted
1 TB. Minced garlic
1 fresh thyme sprig
Red Wine Steak Seasoning
Ingredients:
1 tablespoon garlic powder
1 tablespoon onion powder
2 teaspoons black pepper, table grind
1 teaspoons sea salt, fine
1 tablespoon Burgundy Wine Powder
1/4 teaspoon espresso, instant grind
1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper
¼ teaspoon ground coriander
Directions
Preparation: Lightly oil the rib eye and season on both sides with the Steak Seasoning. Allow to sit at room temperature for one hour before pan searing.
Preheat the cast iron skillet on medium-high heat. Once the pan is ready, oil lightly. Place the steaks in the pan. Pan sear for 2 minutes each side, reduce heat to medium and cook an additional 4 to 6 minutes per side. Once the steaks are cooked, add the butter, garlic and thyme, baste the steak until butter slightly browns.
Burgundy Wine Steak Seasoning
Preparation: Combine all the ingredients and blend well. Store in an air tight container for use.
Carefully rub the seasoning into the flesh of the meat insuring a uniform distribution.
