This one is truly the ULTIMATE PREP (or a continuation of it if you’ve seen the chicken version) when it comes to Ramadan. Especially for all the working moms + dads. Students + for those emergency days. Get the prep done now and watch how these come in handy! And when you lay them flat to freeze they defrost so quick!
each bag has about 1.5 lbs of cubed meat
tip- best to add oil last then mix
BULGOGI: 1/2 cup oil, 3/4 cup soy sauce, 2 tbsp sesame oil, 1 tsp minced garlic, 1/4 cup chopped green onion, 1 tsp black pepper, 6-7 tbsp brown sugar, 2 tbsp rice vinegar, 1.5 tsp salt. Mix well
CARNE ASADA: 1/4 cup oil, juice of 2 oranges, juice of 1 lime, 1 tsp minced garlic, 1/2 tbsp ground cumin, 1 tsp chili powder, 1 tsp salt, 1/4 cup chopped and seeded jalapeno, 1/3 cup chopped fresh cilantro. Mix well
CHIMICHURRI: 1/4 + 2 tbsp oil, 1/3 cup chopped cilantro, 1/3 cup chopped parsley, 1 tsp minced garlic, 6 tbsp red wine vinegar, 1 lemon juiced, 1/2 tsp salt, 1 tsp red crushed pepper flakes, 1/2 tsp black pepper, 1 tsp onion powder, 2 tsp oregano. Mix well
GARLIC + HERB: 1/3 cup oil, 1 tbsp minced garlic, 1 tsp salt, 1/2 tsp black pepper, 1 tsp red crushed pepper flakes, 1 tsp paprika, 1/3 cup chopped fresh parsley. Mix well
Directions
Place the meat into your bags or mixing bowls. Add the marinades. Mix well. Lay flat into freezer safe bags. Label. And freeze! Defrost the night before in the refrigerator or place on counter the morning of.
HOW TO SERVE: bulgogi rice bowls (pan sear them chop small), carne asada tacos (pan sear then chop small), chimichurri + veggies, garlic + herb served with a side of potatoes.
