3 eggs
100mL heavy whipping cream
1 packet of vanilla sugar (can sub for 1 tsp vanilla extract)
400mL milk
100g AP flour
~ 2tbsp unsalted butter
600g ripe cherries, stems removed but pits left in
Directions
Preheat oven to 400F
1. Butter your tart dish, or a large cast iron pan or medium casserole dish
2. In a bowl, mix eggs, cream, sugar, vanilla sugar, milk and flour. If lumpy, pass through a blender or a hand blender.
3. Put the cherries in the pan (pits in!! My grandma says it adds flavor)
4. Pour batter over the cherries
5. Put little pads of butter over the batter.
6. Cook for 40-60 minutes, until golden on top and a toothpick comes out clean.
Serve warm or room temperature.
