1 lb Jumbo Shrimp (Peeled and Deveined)
16 oz Spaghetti
10 Cloves Garlic
2 tbsp Butter
1 tbsp Oil
1/2 cup Grated Parmesan
1 tbsp Fish Sauce
1 tsp Sugar
1 tsp MSG
1/2 tsp White Pepper
1 tbsp Oil
2 tbsp Soy Sauce
1 tbsp Dark Soy Sauce
2 tbsp Oyster Sauce
1 tbsp Fish Sauce
1 tbsp Brown Sugar
Chives
Parmesan Cheese
Black Pepper
Directions
Shrimp:
Marinate peeled and deveined shrimp with fish sauce, sugar, MSG, black pepper, and oil in a mixing bowl. Cover and let marinate in the fridge while we prep the rest of the ingredients
Prep:
Thinly slice garlic into chips. Finely chop chives and then grate parmesan
Sauce:
Combine soy sauce, dark soy sauce, oyster sauce, and brown sugar in a mixing bowl. Mix until brown sugar is fully dissolved
Pasta:
Add dry spaghetti noodles to a pot of salted water. Follow package instructions and cook the noodles to al dente
Reserve half a cup of the cooking liquid, then drain the rest. Rinse the noodles in cold water to stop the cooking process, and set aside
Cook:
In a big pan, add a splash of oil and butter. Gently fry garlic chips until they turn golden. Then remove the garlic from the pan to prevent them from burning
Add shrimp to the pan, making sure not to overcrowd the pan. Cook shrimp for 1-2 minutes on both sides until 80% cooked through
Add cooked spaghetti noodles and sauce, and return garlic chips to the pot. Add in grated parmesan and some of the pasta water to help everything combine
Finish with chives and black pepper
Serve:
Add garlic noodles and shrimp to a plate. Garnish with more parmesan, chives, and black pepper. Enjoy!
