Ingredients

1/2 c butter

1/2 c packed brown sugar

cinnamon

36 pecan or walnut halves

2 cups biscuit baking mix

1/3 cup applesauce

1/3 c milk

Directions

Preheat oven to 450.

Use 12 cup muffin tin.

Put 2 tsp butter in each muffin cup. Heat in prepared oven until butter is melted. Stir 2 tsp brown sugar and a pinch of cinnamon into butter in each cup. Add 3 nut halves to each.

In a large bowl combine biscuit mix, applesauce and milk. Mix well until a dough forms. Bake in preheated oven for 10 minutes.

Invert whole pan immediately onto a plate and let sit for 5 minutes, allowing syrup to run down over buffins. Remove the pan and serve warm.
