Ingredients

しゃけの味噌ホイル焼き (Foil-Baked Miso Salmon)

Japanese home-style & very forgiving 🤍

Quick steps:

Directions

Mix the sauce:

sugar (1 tbsp), miso (1 tbsp), soy sauce (½ tbsp), mirin (½ tbsp), sake = cooking alcohol (½ tbsp)

Slice half an onion

Cut carrot into thin sticks

Prep any veggies you like (we used enoki & cabbage)

Fold foil to make a small “boat”

Line with parchment paper

Add salmon, then vegetables

Spoon sauce evenly over salmon

Top with a small piece of butter

Seal foil and place in pan or pot

Cook on medium-high for ~20-25 minutes

Open carefully (hot steam!)
