Creamy Chili Crisp Pasta

12 oz pasta - half box
2 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons all purpose flour
4 oz cream cheese softened
2 cups milk - I used vit D
3/4 cup heavy whipping cream
3/4 cup Parmesan cheese
1 teaspoon salt and garlic powder , OPTIONAL for color a small pinch turmeric . Very very small or the sauce will be very yellow.
1/4 cup chili crisp or chili oil
Parsley for garnish
Directions
Cook your pasta al dente means one to two minutes less than the cook time as it will continue cooking the sauce. Make sure to save some pasta water in case the sauce gets too thick. You can use it to thin it out.
To a pan add butter, all-purpose flour stir until you get a light brown color one to two minutes on low medium heat.
While whisking slowly incorporate milk continue whisking.
Add in heavy whipping cream , Parmesan cheese, salt, garlic powder.
Let the sauce cook and thicken.
Once the sauce is completely done and thickened to your liking. add in the chili oil/crisp.
Add in the pasta .
Slowly mix sauce and pasta.
You can cook to bring it all together or just mix and serve.
serve immediately garnished with parsley and chili oil .
