Soft Ginger Snap Cookies

Ingredients

1 c vegetable shortening

1 cup sugar

1 egg

1/4 c molasses

2 c flour

1 tsp cinnamon

1 tsp ginger

1 1/2 tsp baking soda

1/4 tsp salt

Directions

Heat oven to 350. Prepare cookie sheet.

Beat the shortening and the sugar together with an electric mixer. Add the molasses and beat in until well blended. Add the egg and beat into that mixture.

Add the dry ingredients and mix until well blended.

Roll into small balls and palce on prepared cookie sheet.

C0ol slightly on the cookie sheet and remove and place on a cooling rack until completely cooled.

Can be eaten as they are or dipped in granulated sugar before baking.
